Galaxy morphology is a cost-effective proxy for assessing galaxy diversity and its physical properties. Originally proposed by Hubble (1926), the Hubble classification scheme organized local galaxies into elliptical, lenticular, spiral, and irregular categories. The morphology of a galaxy is not only an external expression of its structure but is also closely related to its stellar population (González Delgado et al. 2015) and environment (Margoniner & de Carvalho 2000; Goto et al. 2003).

1 Introduction The fluctuations in the phase and amplitude of radio wave signals that transit the ionosphere are usually referred to as “scintillations” (Hey et al., 1946). A class of those fluctuations is caused by phase velocity changes of an electromagnetic wave crossing ionosphere irregularities, that is, plasma density variations with respect to the background ionosphere.

The stability of spatial orbits around the triangular libration points in the ephemeris model of the Earth-Moon system is studied. Five contributions are made: (1) Practical stable spatial orbits in the ephemeris Earth-Moon system lasting thousands of years or even longer are first reported, and spatial stable regions are identified.

The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) is a dwarf irregular, star-forming, low-metallicity galaxy with total stellar mass of (Bekki & Stanimirović 2009). The SMC is interacting with the large magellanic cloud and the Milky Way, and is a highly disrupted system (Murai & Fujimoto 1980). As the SMC is so close, we can study these effects in detail, something that is not possible for more distant galaxies of similar size.

In order to connect the rms flows in spherical geometry with the Cartesian-domain simulations, it is important to define the Fourier power in a way that allows direct comparisons. We use here the Fourier convention: where k is a two-dimensional horizontal wavevector. The position vector x takes the values (n,m)hx, where hx=hy is the grid spacing in real space and (n,m) is a pair of integers, each in the range −N/2 to N/2−1, where the even integer N is the number of grid points.
