Colorado Parks and Wildlife has killed a wolf in response to chronic livestock depredation that has been taking place in Pitkin County. Chronic depredation is defined as three or more confirmed depredation events caused by the same wolf or wolves within a 30-day period. According to a press release, the 'lethal removal' of wolf 2405 took place on the evening of Thursday, May 29, following four confirmed depredation events that took place between May 17 and May 25.
