Abstract Background Cats commonly develop thyroid disease but little is known about the long-term biological variability of serum thyroid hormone and thyrotropin (thyroid-stimulating hormone; TSH) concentrations. Dedicated efforts are needed to measure the impact of racism and discrimination on the health of cancer survivors and simultaneously to develop tools and resources to mitigate adverse health effects. Interventions to improve mental health outcomes for cancer survivors, with special emphasis on those at increased risk because of social and structural factors, should begin now.

AbstractCurrent treatments to prevent thrombosis, namely anticoagulants and platelets antagonists, remain complicated by the persistent risk of bleeding. Improved therapeutic strategies that diminish this risk would have a huge clinical impact. Antithrombotic agents that neutralize and inhibit polyphosphate (polyP) can be a powerful approach towards such a goal.
