A 32-year-old man that allegedly stalked an assaulted a woman for months was charged Friday, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said Christian Montijo, whose residence is listed in Manassas, Virginia, is accused of stalking, domestic violence, multiple assaults at gunpoint, damaging the woman's vehicle, and fleeing and eluding.

Health officials in Kalamazoo County announced Thursday they have resumed annual water quality testing at nine public bathing beaches in the area. Test results are gathered between Memorial Day and Labor Day by personnel from the environmental health division of the Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department, and apply only to the beach areas instead of the entire lake, officials said.
