Cartiyae Pascal was arraigned Tuesday on a count of open murder and a weapons charge in the death of Amillier Penn, Grand Rapids Police Department Chief Eric Winstrom confirmed. Winstrom said he is being charged as an adult.

Cartiyae Pascal was arraigned Tuesday on one count of open murder and a weapons charge in the death of Amillier Penn, Grand Rapids Police Department Chief Eric Winstrom confirmed. The chief said Pascal is being charged as an adult and bond was denied, which means he’ll stay behind bars while his case makes its way through the court system.
