Major traffic delays on I-5 after crashes on both northbound and southbound

This is a screenshot of a video WSDOT posted on X concerning a major traffic wreck on Interstate 5 northbound near Federal Way. WSDOT on X Traffic in both directions on Interstate 5 is crawling after multiple crashes. I-5 northbound just north of South 320th Street in Federal Way now has two lanes open after all lanes were blocked around noon Thursday. According to Trooper Rick Johnson on X, it’s due to a “semi/car non injury rollover collision.” He said to expect major delays.
The News Tribune to change print days as digital transition evolves

The News Tribune’s journey toward a more digitally focused, sustainable future takes its biggest step yet later this year. We will transition to a 24/7 digital product with three days of high-quality print editions beginning May 6. The print editions will publish Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and continue to be delivered alongside your regular mail delivery. The Sunday newspaper will arrive on Saturday as it has. Single copies also will be available at select retail locations.

A man died in Tacoma Monday evening after he was shot multiple times, Tacoma police said. South Sound 911 received a call around 6 p.m. Monday about a shooting near the 8600 block of C Street in Tacoma. Officers found a man with “multiple gunshot wounds.” He died at the scene, police said. This is the second homicide in the past week in Tacoma, with very similar details released from the Tacoma Police Department. A man was found shot to death Aug.
