Jayden O'Brien, 18, was serving a sentence at HMP Wetherby for manslaughter when he attacked a number of officers while on a wing reserved for the most vulnerable and volatile prisoners. Leeds Crown Court heard on Tuesday O'Brien was originally jailed for being part of a gang of four who kicked a man to death in a graveyard. O'Brien kicked the victim once.

A nightmare neighbour who repeatedly verbally abused a man and continued to harass him after attacking him in his own home has been jailed. Mohammed Naseeb, 39, made neighbours' lives a misery after moving into his home in Gladstone Court, Dewsbury, in 2021. Leeds Crown Court heard on Tuesday he was made the subject of a restraining order after turning up to a neighbour's home armed with a golf club and attacking him in February 2023.

A sick predator who held a teenage girl down as he raped her and told her "no one would believe her" has been locked up. Kyle Burns, 33, was locked up for 14 years on Monday when he appeared at Leeds Crown Court to be sentenced after a jury earlier found him guilty of two counts of rape, two of sexual assault and two of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
