Lee Meadows, 45, of Herringbone Drive in Doncaster, is standing trial at Bradford Crown Court charged with one count of sexual assault, said to have been committed against his colleague.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in a Rotherham street. South Yorkshire Police officers were called to Waddington Way, Parkgate, at around 6.47am on Sunday after receiving reports that a man had been found unresponsive in the street. The 54-year-old died at the scene and another man has now been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody of this time.

A teenage boy is fighting for his life after a horrific bike crash in Barnsley. South Yorkshire Police raced to Pogmoor Road on Friday, May 30, at 5.31am following reports that a biker had been flung off his bike after crashing into a wall. The rider, a 17-year-old, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The force said they are now appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.

Coastguard teams rushed to a popular North Yorkshire beach after a person fell and suffered a head injury. Whitby Coastguard was tasked to help the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Yorkshire Ambulance Service after a person fell and suffered a head injury in the Tate Sands area of Whitby at around 9.30pm on Friday night (May 30). It said they were called upon "due to the difficult nature of the extraction of a casualty who had fallen, suffering a head injury".
