    People in Tulsa will soon have a new option for high-speed internet service, as Metronet has announced it’s expanding to the Tulsa market. The company says it will start installing infrastructure this summer in Tulsa for a fully fiber-optic, high-speed internet network and could start offering service as early as the fall. Metronet has been building infrastructure and recently started offering service in Broken Arrow.

    All the right-of-ways have been secured, all the engineering is done, and soon, the City of Broken Arrow says they’ll start the project to widen Aspen Avenue between Tucson and Jasper. On a “Driving B.A.” YouTube video released Thursday, City Engineer Charlie Bright says drivers will see ONG start relocating the gas lines during the next two weeks. “And as soon as ONG is relocated out of the way, the City of Broken Arrow will have their contractor ready to show up soon after,” Bright said.

The Tulsa Zoo says the two elephants arrived here safely after a 26-hour road trip, including food and water stops, during which officials say the animals were calm and ate and drank well.

    It’s apparently been a chaotic day for hundreds, maybe THOUSANDS, of Oklahoma marijuana businesses. Word spread fast on social media, and was later confirmed by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, that some kind of computer glitch in Thentia, the licensing portal for marijuana businesses, had canceled the licenses for a large number of them, so they weren’t sure if they should continue operating. One caller told KRMG it was over a thousand licenses.
