LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - High pressure will continue building over our area, which will contribute to more sunshine and warm afternoons through the work week. A relatively weak cold front will drop our temperatures slightly late in the week, but the high pressure will return even stronger this weekend. That will bring some heat. This afternoon will be notably warmer than yesterday. Temperatures will peak about seven or eight degrees above average for the time of year.
