It was the final game of the regular season for both teams, and with a tight playoff race, the winner was set to claim the final playoff spot from District 4-4A. Canyon got on the board first with a run in the top of the 1st. The two teams then traded runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings to make it a 2-1 ballgame.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit says 22-year-old Victor Yanez turned himself in at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Yanez was wanted for murder in connection with the shooting death of 38-year-old Joshua Rios. Officers responded to a report of shots fired just after 2:00 a.m. in the 1800 block of Clovis Rd. on Monday. When they arrived, officers found Rios with serious injuries. Rios was taken to UMC, where he was later pronounced dead.

KCBD(KCBD)A cold front will bring cooler temperatures on Monday. As of 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, the front was moving through the Oklahoma Panhandle. It is expected to move quickly through the viewing area after midnight, and it should be completely through our southern zones before sunrise.
