It is owned by Mission Broadcasting but is operated through a local marketing agreement (LMA) by Nexstar Media Group. This arrangement makes KAMC a sister station to KLBK-TV, which is affiliated with CBS and operates on channel 13. Both stations share their studios and transmission facilities located on University Avenue in Lubbock, just a couple of blocks south of Loop 289.
