It disgusts me that our government is not capable of making long-range measurable plans that last past the term of the current congressional majority, yet both parties claim to represent us and make decisions for the good of the country. I'm tired of a government that offers vacillating indecisive choices, and snubs our courts and constitution, thus eroding confidence in our republic.

MURRAY—With a core group of seniors with high expectations and having missed the last two Kentucky Region boys basketball tournaments, Calloway County had to beat crosstown arch rival Murray High Tuesday night to assure itself a guaranteed spot in the tournament this season. MURRAY— The Calloway County Lakers rolled past McCracken County at Jeffrey Gymnasium on Monday night, beating the Mustangs 66-51. The win moves the Lakers to 26-3 on the season, setting a school record for regular season victories. “I though we really guarded well,” Calloway’s head coach Brad Cleaver said. “I was very pleased with the way we played defensively.

PADUCAH— In their next-to-last road game of the 2024-25 girls basketball season, the Murray High Lady Tigers traveled to Paducah Tuesday night to take on three-time defending Region 1 champion McCracken County. While the Lady Tigers played the Lady Mustangs much closer than in the previous few years, they could not get over a 10-point hump in the second half, falling 41-31.
