    After helping their teams extend long Suburban East Conference winning streaks, Paige Stabenow and Jack Kalmon are honored as the Most Valuable Athlete for the Stillwater girls and boys alpine skiing teams. Stabenow and the Stillwater girls won all five SEC events to secure their 14th consecutive conference championship. The Ponies were led by All-SEC performers Ainsley Smith, Callie Sampson, Madison Komarek, Eden Letourneau and Rosie Kubiak.

    OAK PARK HEIGHTS — Making sure its first loss of the young season didn’t turn into a streak, Stillwater outlasted East Ridge for a 2-1 Suburban East Conference softball victory in eight innings on Wednesday, April 9 at SAHS. Eighth-grader Ella Weisser threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings in her first varsity start, but the Raptors (0-1 SEC, 1-1) broke a scoreless tie with a run off Sienna Nelson in the top of the seventh.

The Ponies finished the season with a 4-4 dual meet record in the Suburban East Conference standings. Stillwater posted a total of 135.925 to place third in the Section 4AA Meet behind Cretin-Derham Hall (143.8) and White Bear Lake (141.625).
