    COON RAPIDS — Unable to keep pace with highly regarded Cretin-Derham Hall in the team standings, the Stillwater boys golf team earned two individual state qualifiers following competition in the Section 4AAA Tournament on May 27 and 29 at Bunker Hills Golf Club. Cretin-Derham Hall, which went undefeated in the Suburban East Conference, cruised to the team title with a winning total of 566 (289-277).

    OAK PARK HEIGHTS — The Stillwater girls lacrosse team extended its season by at least another week after cruising to a 12-2 victory over second-seeded Roseville in the Section 4 championship game on Wednesday, June 4 at Stillwater Area High School. Ponies coach Carly Fedorowski was pleased with the outcome as the team secured its fourth consecutive trip to state, but also left some room for improvement going forward.

    OAK PARK HEIGHTS — On a team with several good scoring options, junior Aiden Sargent delivered in the clutch while providing the game-winner in overtime as top-seeded Stillwater survived and advanced with a 10-9 victory over third-seeded White Bear Lake on Wednesday, June 4 at Stillwater Area High School. It was a riveting showdown, with late flurries, big saves and finally Sargent’s blistering shot into the back of the net that set of a wild celebration on the opposite end of the field.

    ROSEVILLE — After first falling to White Bear Lake in the semifinals, Stillwater was also eliminated by the Bears with a 6-5 setback in the elimination bracket finals of the Section 4AAAA baseball tournament on Wednesday, June 4 at the University of Northwestern. The Ponies (16-9) kept their section title hopes alive with elimination game victories over East Ridge and Woodbury, but were unable to carry that momentum through against the second-seeded Bears (17-8).
