The World Cup, otherwise known as the biggest sporting event on the planet, will be coming to the United States, Mexico and Canada in 2026. For the first time ever, the tournament is being hosted by three countries. It was supposed to be a historic collaboration, but the three nations are caught in a heated trade war initiated by President Donald Trump. Last month, Trump declared a 25% tax on imports from Canada and Mexico.

Shantay Bolton, an experienced college administrator who most recently was executive vice president and chief business officer of Georgia Institute of Technology, will be Columbia’s new president and CEO. She starts the position on July 1. This is a monumental moment for the college. Bolton is the first woman president in nearly 90 years and the first ever woman of color to lead the college.
