    LAWRENCEVILLE – Eva Olguin, 26, from Mineral, Virginia is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 5, 2025. Captain B. T. Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy B. Townsend saw a vehicle coming out of Homestead Drive. He caught up with the vehicle after the vehicle took a left turn onto Robinson Ferry Road and then a right turn onto Highway 903.

    LAWRENCEVILLE – Glen Omark Pearson, 34, from Lawrenceville, Virginia is charged with possession of a controlled substance on April 5, 2025. Maurice Jamol Shearin, 30, from Kenbridge, Virginia is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession while in possession of a firearm on the same date. Captain B. T. Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy B. Townsend observed a 4-door black sedan going north on Highway 46 traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

    Joint meeting with School Board planned. LAWRENCEVILLE – The Brunswick County Board of Supervisors held a budget work session on Thursday, March 20, 2025 to hear FY2025-2026 Budget requests from Constitutional Officers. They have already received budget requests from External Agencies and Internal Agencies. The Supervisors will hold a joint meeting with the Brunswick County School Board at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

    LAWRENCEVILLE – Thomas Edward Holloman, 37, from Emporia, Virginia is charged with assault and battery on March 7, 2025. Captain B. T. Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy C. Williams was dispatched to an assault call at the First Choice Home for Adults in Lawrenceville. He was met by the victim who had a swollen black eye and a contusion on his forehead.
