    A man was shot several times and taken to the hospital on Monday, the Raleigh Police Department said. First responders to took the man to an area hospital for surgery after responding to the scene near June Lane and North Fisher Street, police said. The shooting happened at the Washington Terrace Apartments, which is east of downtown Raleigh. Raleigh police did not provide the condition of the man shot and said no one is in custody. However, police said there is no threat to the area.
