Richard "Rich" James Somerville, 78 of Suamico, WI, died Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Green Bay, WI. Rich was born in Superior, WI on April 22, 1947, to Eleanor (Berg) and Gus Anderson. Adoptive parents Raymond W. and Fern (Berg) Somerville. He graduated from Superior Central High School in 1965 and attended UW Superior before enlisting in the Navy. Rich was very proud of his service in the Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk from 1967-1973 during the Vietnam War.

Rudolph “Rudy” Norman Duane Nikko, 82, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 10, 2025 in Duluth, MN. Rudy was born to Thomas and Sylvia (Kukko) Nikko on July 25, 1942 in Cromwell, MN. Rudy was a Cromwell High School graduate in 1960 where he was President of his class, and played basketball, baseball, and football. He worked at Western Electric/AT&T where he was the Union Rep for most of his career before retiring.

Rich was a devoted husband of 52 years to Dalelarae (Dalbec) Fisher and a loving father to Richard R. Fisher, Kacey (Troy) Blatt, and Stephanie (Cory) Johnson. Rich lost his mother, Mary Lou, before the age of two. At that time, his aunt, Helen Klobucher lovingly stepped in to care for him.

I thought I was OK. I was OK as we sat around the table at the funeral home, discussing the program, the flowers and appropriate prayers for my mother’s funeral. I was even mostly OK while sitting in the front pew during Mom’s beautiful service, as my mother’s kind eyes gazed right at me from the enlarged portrait of her by the lectern.
