AbstractThe BEACON CRC study demonstrated that encorafenib (Enco)+cetuximab (Cetux)±binimetinib (Bini) significantly improved overall survival (OS) versus Cetux + chemotherapy in previously treated patients with BRAF-V600E-mutant mCRC, providing the basis for the approval of the Enco+Cetux regimen in the United States and the European Union. A greater understanding of biomarkers predictive of response to Enco+Cetux±Bini treatment is of clinical relevance.

AbstractMicroglia are resident immune cells of the central nervous system and play key roles in brain homeostasis. During anesthesia, microglia increase their dynamic process surveillance and interact more closely with neurons. However, the functional significance of microglial process dynamics and neuronal interaction under anesthesia is largely unknown. Using in vivo two-photon imaging in mice, we show that microglia enhance neuronal activity after the cessation of isoflurane anesthesia.

AbstractStimuli-responsive shape-changing hydrogels are attractive candidates for use as underwater soft robots. The bottleneck lies in the low actuation speed inherently limited by the water diffusion between hydrogels and their surrounding environment. In addition, accessing complex motions is restricted by the material fabrication methods. Here we report a hitherto unknown mechanism to achieve high-speed and programmable actuations for a disulfide crosslinked thermally responsive hydrogel.

N, S co-doped porous carbon with Co9S8 prepared by Co-FF-derived Co3O4 template: A bi-functional electrocatalyst for rechargeable zinc−air battery
To achieve broad commercialization of rechargeable metal-air batteries, the development of non-precious metal-based bi-functional oxygen electrocatalysts is critical. In this study, we prepared N,S co-doped porous carbon materials containing Co9S8 nanoparticles (Co9S8/NSC) through a one-step pyrolysis process.
