It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s…a turtle on wheels!While visiting Halifax’s Museum of Natural History, you may get to see this very sight, if you time it right. This is because the museum is home to Root: a 20-year-old wood turtle who happens to be missing his right front foot. Root first arrived at the Natural History Museum in September, but before that, he had taken up residence at the Oaklawn Farm Zoo in Aylesford, N.S., and the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park.

Recent data from TD Bank's GTA Condo Market Outlook points towards condo values falling by 15-20% from their peak in Summer 2023 by the end of 2025, with 10% of that decline taking place in this year alone. The price slide projection comes after a pivotal year for the GTA resale condo market, when benchmark prices fell 4% on an annual basis and sales plummeted to levels not seen since the financial crisis of '08 and '09.

According to Urbanation's rental market report for the first quarter of 2025, purpose-built rental rents in the GTHA decreased 7% year over year, on average, after adjusting for the increase in occupancy incentives as developers vie to fill units.
