Last month I visited the gorgeous Hux, London’s stunning new Restaurant and Clandestine Music Lounge in Kengiston. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by zebras, flamingos penguins and even a giraffe! You are told that all animals were not hunted and were instead received from Zoos after they died. It makes an awesome sight.

I spent an epic birthday weekend in London in May and one of the places where I chose to celebrate was none other than Morty & Bob’s (www.mortyandbobs.com). The family owned all-day restaurant, café and bar with locations in Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, in the food court at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, and Kensal Rise had been a favourite for Londoner’s since 2015 and I was excited to try it myself. We love a Mr Foggs so we’re excited to visit The Hat Tavern and Gin Club. In vein with the rest of their establishments, a theme is predominant throughout and you are escorted back to the days of Victorian England in 1872. Arriving into the restaurant you will see a gorgeous bar which features display cases showcasing the additions that customers can make to their hats. There’s even a large banquet at the back of the room, ideal for bigger groups.

Last week we featured Layered Reality, The Gunpowder Plot but now we’re excited to share with you our thoughts of the Layered Reality’s immersive adaptation of the 1978 multi-platinum album Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds. As well as HG Wells’ 1897 sci-fi novel The War of The Worlds. The experience features virtual reality and multi-sensory effects. The venue is in an expansive : multi-million pound visitor attraction in the heart of London.

In April, Onin.London went to visit The Westminster London. This beautiful hotel is close to Westminster Station and is home to expertly designed bedrooms, concept dining with STK Steakhouse and bowling alley, Bao Yum Café and flexible event space. Location wise this, this hotel is great as it’s close to all the landmarks that London is famous for. Yet it also feels slight secluded and away from the hustle and bustle.

Last Friday, Onin.London visited Shian Nails to review a manicure before featuring it in our gift guide this year. I loved it that much that felt Shian deserved a whole feature!The salon salon was founded by Shian Paul in early 2021 after she used lockdown to turn a hobby into a new career. While salons were closed, Shian decided to pamper herself and learnt how to paint her own nails, finding joy in researching new designs, trends and creating moodboards.
