Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings opened its ninth Northeast Florida location, and fifth in Jacksonville, on Dunn Avenue. The new restaurant features a drive-thru and is owned by franchisee Maged Ebied, who plans to open two more Jacksonville locations soon. The menu includes various cheesesteaks, wings, gourmet fries, and real fruit lemonade.

ATLANTIC BEACH | An iconic sub sandwich shop that's been a Beaches institution for decades has expanded to a third location roughly three miles from its longtime home in Jacksonville Beach. Angie's Subs recently opened at 299-1 Atlantic Blvd. It's sandwiched between the original Homespun Kitchen and AB Kitchen in Beaches Town Center — near the former Ragtime Tavern, which closed permanently in January after nearly 42 years.

Three former Red Lobster locations in Jacksonville will soon be home to new Asian restaurants. Fushimi Grill & Modern Buffet is the first to open, offering a wide variety of Asian cuisine. Mikata Buffet and Gogi Korean BBQ are expected to open in the coming months. An all-you-can-eat Asian buffet offering more than 200 items daily ranging from Japanese sushi to dim sum, seafood, hibachi, ribs and steak is now open in a former Red Lobster location in Jacksonville.

Panda Express has opened a new location in Jacksonville featuring the chain's new "Panda Home" design. The new restaurant is located at 9370 Atlantic Blvd. and marks the return of Panda Express to the Regency area after a five-year absence. The "Panda Home" design is inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and features a large Dragon Dance mural and warm wood tones.
