LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A needed cold front will move through Thursday and into Friday, which should finally knock out the rain. Thursday does bring us a decent chance for some stronger storms with the cold front, though there isn't much cold air to look forward to behind it. These storms will move through between noon and 8 p.m., and some of them may bring strong or severe storms. We'll be watching for high winds and hail in the strongest cells.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Temperatures may push 90 degrees on Wednesday with sunshine trying to come back out. The showers will still linger as a stalled front sticks to our north. Most of us won't have to worry much about the rain, though, with isolated pockets developing in the afternoon. There will be minimal cooling happening overnight, with temperatures likely stopping around 70 degrees. Few showers today.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Monday brings more rain and humid weather. The highs will be much more comfortable today, and we may only hit 80 degrees. This is unfortunately the end of the good news, as showers and storms will be coming back again in the afternoon heat and humidity. We could add on another quarter inch of rain or so, though totals will be higher in the thunderstorm hit areas. Showers this afternoon.
