Henry County Va., (WSET) — The Henry County Sheriff's Office confirms to ABC13 they are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday morning. At this time, details are limited but we do know this happened on Summit View Drive. The Sheriff's Office says a press release will be sent out shortly sharing more details with the public. Campbell County, Va., (WSET) — Virginia State Police is investigating a deadly crash in Campbell County. The crash happened on Saturday, October 21st just after midnight on Bear Creek Road. State Police say a 2005 GMC Envoy was traveling south on Bear Creed Rd. when it ran off the left side, struck trees, and came back to rest in the roadway. The driver, 52-year-old William Thompson was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

LYNCHBURG, Va., (WSET) — The Lynchburg Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating a crash that happened Saturday night on Wards Road. Just after 7:00 p.m. officers responded to the intersection of Wards Road and CVCC Campus Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a motorcycle in the woods and the driver thrown from it. The driver was taken to the hospital where he's in critical condition.

Henry County, Va. (WSET) — The Henry County Sheriff's Office says a man is now behind bars facing multiple charges after an attempted traffic stop and brief pursuit. On October 20th just before noon, a deputy spotted an illegal lane change by a car traveling southbound on Greensboro Rd.The deputy attempted to stop the driver but the car sped away. Following a brief pursuit, the driver stopped and was taken into custody without incident.

Martinsville, Va. (WSET) — Martinsville Police tell ABC13 a second suspect has been taken into custody in connection to a September 30th homicide. On Friday night, Martinsville Police took Ricardo Ortiz IV into custody. Ortiz is facing a 1st degree murder charge along with shooting from a vehicle to endanger a person, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. This stems from a shooting on the evening of September 30th.
