Two Welsh chip shops have been named in the top 10 chippies in the UK. Shipdeck in Caerphilly and Ynys Mon's Finney's have both made the shortlist to be named as top of the crops for the Field to Frier category for the National Fish and Chip Awards 2024. Shipdeck made the shortlist last year as well so WalesOnline gave it a try to see what all the fuss was about.

A former Bath City footballer has been jailed for playing a key role in selling large amounts of cocaine. Kaid Mohamed was one of seven men who were involved in the organised crime gang which was jailed for a total of 47 years last month. Mohamed, 39, made 66 appearances for Bath over two separate spells with the club. He also represented Weston-super-Mare AFC on three occasions in the 2016-2017 season.

Why would anyone not want to live in Wales? But it's not often an entire village tries to change location. But that happened in Audlem, in Cheshire, England, which is about nine miles from the Welsh border. In 2008, they had a vote to decide if they should move from England to Wales. The poll was run on local website Audlem Online by resident Bob Cartwright, reports North Wales Live. Its purpose was to "make a very serious point" in a "humorous way".
