PORTLAND, Ore. — For the past couple of years, schools around the Portland metro area have struggled to teach about the Israeli-Hamas war. Many parents have had strong opinions about curriculum in schools. "Yeah, it's frustrating," said Liz Terzo, a Jewish parent in the Beaverton School District. Terzo believes pro-Palestinian curriculum is pervasive in schools. In April, the Beaverton teachers union held a workshop for educators to learn about the history of Palestinian people.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Tuesday is the final day for voters to cast their ballots in Oregon’s special election. Across the state, there’s a flurry of school board seats on the ballot. CLARK COUNTY, Wash. — For years, Clark County detectives have linked a convicted murderer to the deaths of several more women, for which he’s never been charged. Since 1979, Warren Forrest has lived behind bars after being convicted of killing 20-year-old Krista Blake. Then, in 2023, he was found guilty of killing a woman named Martha Morrison after DNA evidence linked him to the 1974 murder.
