MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting that put a South Memphis school on lockdown Thursday started when the owner of a stolen car found someone driving it, and someone opened fire, police said. Police were called to Modder Avenue and Castex Street at 3:30 for a shooting call. When they arrived, they found an unoccupied red Hyundai Sonata that had been shot at multiple times.
