MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — The Historic Daisy Theatre caught fire in downtown Memphis early Thursday morning, the Memphis Police Department confirmed. Officers say they responded to the 300 block of Beale Street regarding the fire call a little after 1:30 a.m.Memphis Fire Department officials said it was ruled an accidental electrical fire. They said it started in the stage area.

EARLE, Ark. — One Arkansas community is looking to bring more business to the area, but city officials say there are a few steps that must be taken before that can happen. Earle city leaders are working to combat blight, and they say owners of dilapidated properties have 30 business days to come into compliance. Abandoned homes, burned structures and overgrown grass are becoming an eyesore in the small Crittenden County community.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Frayser bar, which was forced to shut its doors after a deadly mass shooting, was in court on Tuesday. Law enforcement and city government officials deemed the Infiniti Sports Bar and Grill a public nuisance, calling it a persistent hotspot for criminal activities. However, the business could possibly reopen. A temporary injunction was put in place, which means the bar won’t be allowed to open its doors for at least four months.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Brandon Isabelle, the man accused of shooting his girlfriend to death and throwing their newborn baby into the Mississippi River in 2022, was supposed to stand trial on Monday morning, but new information means the family must wait longer. Isabelle was indicted in the murders of Danielle Hoyle and her two-day-old baby, Kennedy. Isabelle will still be in court on Monday for a status hearing, but his trial date has been pushed back to September of this year.
