Mbeumo put the Bees back in front just after halftime – then game changed completely folowing a straight red for Joao Pedro for striking out at Collins.

Brighton and Hove Albion take on Brentford in west London where both teams will harbour hopes for European football next season. Danny Welbeck and Joao Pedro are down to play up front and Mats Wieffer is due to make a rare start. Jan Paul van Hecke is back from suspension and Jason Steele returns to the bench after a long layoff because of an injured shoulder. Lewis Dunk captains the side today and Matt O’Riley is also down for a start. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Two penalties from Joao Pedro, one either side of half time, couldn’t help Albion overcome a poor Leicester team. They dominated the Foxes and Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Simon Adingra all had good chances to score. Albion went ahead after referee Darren Bond was advised to check a hand ball by Conor Coady on the half hour. After a lengthy look, Bond gave the penalty that Pedro converted to put Albion 1-0 in front.
