AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - This is all thanks to a stalled front over the region and a cut-off upper-level low oriented meandering around the Southeast. The cut-off low will continue sending warm and very moist Gulf air moisture up and over the front through Tuesday, bringing beneficial rain to the region. With 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain expected through Monday, the Weather Prediction Center says there is a Level 2 out of 4 (Slight) flash flood risk over the CSRA Monday.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Showers and storms will be possible Thursday and Friday as a series of upper level disturbances interact with fronts near the region. The one caveat is that severe weather is possible Thursday night into Friday morning, even though it is a low chance. Strong wind and large hail will be possible in a few storms late Thursday night. The Storm Prediction Center currently has the region in a marginal risk, level 1 out of 5.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Cool nights with sunshine filled, warm days will be an ongoing theme through Tuesday, then another frontal system moves into the region and stalls for a few days putting rain back in the forecast Wednesday through Saturday. Skies will be on the cloudy side during that time, so afternoon highs will be a couple degrees cooler than average Wednesday through Friday and morning lows will be warmer than average in the upper 50s Wednesday and near 60 Thursday and Friday.
