    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Bermuda High will bring in high heat and humidity the remainder of the week and next. An upper level ridge will develop over the central and eastern US next bringing highs in the upper 90s. Afternoon highs will stay in the low to mid-90s through the weekend. The heat index will max out between 99-103. Stay hydrated and take breaks indoors as much as possible throughout the work week. Morning lows will remain seasonal near 70.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Bermuda High will bring in high heat and humidity this week - possibly hottest of the year, so far. Only isolated coverage of storms expected most days this week. Most of the area looks dry this afternoon into the evening with only isolated downpours expected heading into tonight. Muggy night ahead with overnight lows staying in the low 70s. Wind will be light out of the southwest tonight.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We could still see a few isolated storms Tuesday - the Storm Prediction Center has areas south and east of I-20 under a marginal risk for some storms to turn severe. The main concern with storms Tuesday is strong straight line winds and heavy rain. It will be hot and humid again Tuesday with seasonal highs near 90 and dew points in the 70s increasing the feel like temps. Wind will be out of the southwest between 8-12 mph during the day.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A FIRST ALERT is in effect Monday for the chance of scattered severe thunderstorms. The main concern will be thunderstorms capable of damaging straight-line winds in excess of 60 mph, but hail is also possible. Timing looks to be late afternoon through late tonight. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms. Everyone in the CSRA has the chance to see strong to severe storms. Drier and less humid weather returns Tuesday through Thursday.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - FIRST ALERT in effect Saturday and Sunday for the chance of severe storms. Make sure you’re staying weather aware for the weekend. Active pattern sticks around into next week. Today looks mostly dry and hot during the day, but there will be the chance of a few isolated storms by the afternoon. Highs will top out in the low 90s with hotter feel like temperatures thanks to humidity on the rise. Wind will be out of the southwest between 5-10 mph.
