AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Doctors have prepared a family for the worst after a man was shot in the back of the head in downtown Augusta. Tracy Waddell, 61, of Edgefield, remains in a hospital after an apparent robbery attempt early Saturday. His daughter Brianna and her fiancé, Jacob, have spent the past three days by his side in the intensive care unit of a local hospital. “The last words he said to my mom before he walked out of home was, ‘I love you and Bree,’” she said.

(Atlanta News First) - A draft budget proposal circulating among federal officials would dramatically deepen cuts at the nation’s top health agency, eliminating some public health programs entirely and serving as a roadmap for more mass firings.
