MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – If you see a doctor through UW Health, they may be using artificial intelligence to take notes. Officials from the health system said the tool listens to conversations,and takes notes for the providers. At the end of last year, 100 people within the health system in at least 20 specialties were using it. They’ll be rolling it out to another 300 by this summer.

BlogThis Saturday night during our Those Were the Days radio show on WRCO, I will spin a few tunes that are more popular years after they were released. In other words, they have gotten better with age. I can say the same for poor old grey haired d.j.’s. In radio you hope that you get better every time you are on the air. Now that I have logged 30 to 40 thousand hours on the air, I should be better than I am! When I hear tapes of my programs from years ago, I sometimes can’t believe what I said.

As winter began losing its steam and spring began to creep in on the old Willow Valley farm, mother would send little Philip out to play. Rushing water from the melting snow was a great place to float boards. My dad would be upset because some of his scrap lumber washed away to Twin Bluffs and beyond. When the winds of spring began to lessen, I could be daring and lift my little ear flaps but still wear my aviator style hat. There were years when I did this prematurely and sunburned my ears.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – With the warm weather in Wisconsin this week and trails already running with minimal snow, closures are set with more likely to follow. Local snowmobile clubs in the Northwoods have reported icy turns and muddy stretches over the weekend, with a lot of bumps and rough spots. With temperatures expected to reach highs above freezing for a few days, more trail closures will follow in order to preserve any snow pack still remaining.

Medicaid is under threat — again. Republicans, who narrowly control Congress, are pushing proposals that could sharply cut funding to the government health insurance program for poor and disabled Americans, as a way to finance President Donald Trump’s agenda for tax cuts and border security. Democrats, hoping to block the GOP’s plans and preserve Medicaid funding, are rallying support from hospitals, governors, and consumer advocates.
