FAIRFIELD — A proposal to have the Solano County Sheriff's Office provide law enforcement coverage for half of Vallejo is on life support. The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday delayed a final decision on approving the contract, which the Vallejo City Council has already approved. A final vote is set for July 22, though it could come earlier. There are a number of issues that have created barriers, including the initial rejection of the plan by the Deputy Sheriff's Association.
