Tallahassee's 25th Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival happens April 25th and 26th. But there was a special recognition on Wednesday, April 16th for the person who's guided the event for 20 of those 25 years. Outgoing Festival Chair Kelly Dozier said she never saw it coming. "Absolutely! A total surprise!" she admitted, still looking a bit shell shocked. Dozier's Lemoyne Arts colleagues had led her to the west edge of Lewis Park.

The Tallahassee Museum was a festive place over the weekend. There was the Pioneer Breakfast early Saturday. That was immediately followed by the Jazz and Blues Festival, which continued the rest of Saturday and throughout Sunday. Groups like the Tallahassee Swing Band were tearing up the Museum's outdoor stage. Waiting for their turn onstage was Rhythm Remedy, whose drummer is Mark Cooley. The gig is a favorite of he and his bandmates.
