UTICA, NY -- The Annual Utica Mayor’s Benefit Gala took place Saturday at the Delta Hotels Marriott in downtown Utica. Hundreds of people showed up for an evening of dinner, dancing, and great entertainment. Utica Mayor Mike Galime and his wife Jody continued the gala's mission of enhancing the quality of life for families and individuals living and working in Utica. UTICA, NY -- The Bosnian American Community Association (BACA) of Utica hosted White Armband Day at Utica City Hall on Saturday. Those in attendance wore white ribbons tied around their arms to serve as a solemn reminder of the events that began on May 31, 1992, in the Prijedor municipality of Bosnia. All non-Serbs were ordered to display white linens on their homes and wear white armbands when leaving their homes. This was the beginning of the campaign to exterminate the non-Serb population.

CLAYVILLE, NY -- The Clayville Library Association is holding its annual Clayville Village Days this weekend. The event featured a village-wide garage sale, crafter's tent, book sale, food vendors, and plenty of kid-friendly activities like face painting and a bounce house. What started out as a fundraiser for the Clayville Library has turned into something the whole village can enjoy, says Clayville Village Days Event Director Becky Hassett.

HERKIMER, NY -- Standing room only and plenty of heated discussion at Monday's Herkimer Village Board meeting. The village strictly enforcing its maximum occupancy for the meeting, going so far as to lock the doors of the municipal building. The reason for all this was the expected turn-out for a public meeting regarding the board's decision to end the contract between the village and the Herkimer School District which funded its School Resource Officer program.
