A Leicester dad ripped a door off its hinges at his ex-partner's house and threw it at her. Saul Busfield had been at a baby shower where he was drinking and taking drugs prior to the incident, a court heard. The victim, with whom he shares a child, was also present. While at the event, Busfield persuaded one of the children to give him their house keys and went to the New Parks property.

A man was found with various drugs and a loaded handgun following a police stop in Leicester. Tyo Carter was with three other passengers when officers pulled over the taxi he was in. The Toyota Prius was pulled over outside B&Q near Abbey Park in Leicester in August last year. During a search conducted outside the B&Q near Abbey Park police found the gun which had been in a bag that had been at Carter's feet, while a search of the 22-year-old found cocaine and cannabis.

I've been waiting for a while to review some delicious KFC chicken and the opportunity arose after the global chain launched its new Dirty Louisiana Burger. The burger is available for a limited time - until Sunday, June 8 - and there are also the Dirty Loaded Fries to go with it. When I review takeaways, my preferred method is to just order a delivery. It takes less time and gives me the freedom to order a huge amount of food and put some in the fridge for later, rather than eat the whole lot.

Dramatic bodycam footage shows the moment Leicestershire Police officers chased a topless armed man who tried to stab them with a kitchen knife. Police were pursuing Costel Galoi after he threatened a stranger with an air pistol, demanded money and then bit part of the man's ear off and stabbed him repeatedly. The incident began when the 39-year-old victim was visiting a house in Fosse Road North. Galoi approached him and threatened him with a gun, demanding money.

A violent shoplifter spat at shop workers, telling them he had Aids. Stewart Hedge also barged into shop workers trying to stop him leaving their store with stolen goods on another occasion. The incidents happened at a number of stores, including B&M, B&Q and Waitrose. The most serious happened at a B&M in Market Harborough in September last year when the 36-year-old was shoplifting and staff followed him out as he left with a vacuum cleaner and several packs of bedding he had not paid for.

A volunteer police officer who took and shared disturbing images of a dying man has been jailed after a string of serious data breaches came to light. William Heggs, a 20-year-old unpaid special constable with Leicestershire Police, used his personal phone to capture stills from police bodycam footage showing 28-year-old Billy Harty’s bloodied and swollen face after a fatal incident in October 2021.

William Heggs was called to the scene in October 2021 where Billy Harty lay dying between two cars. Later that day, Heggs, who gave the 28-year-old CPR, used his personal phone to take stills of bodycam footage of Mr Harty's bloodied face.

A man walked in front of vehicles on various busy Leicester roads, causing chaos. Valdis Pisarevs' actions were only halted after he was tackled by a female paramedic. The 52-year-old was reportedly first seen walking into the road at Blackbird Road, near Leicester's Abbey Park on Thursday, April 17. He was later seen causing trouble in Woodgate, then on Welford Road and Regent Road - more than one-and-a-half miles from Blackbird Road.
