A drunk man standing in the middle of a Leicester road threw his phone at a police car before walking off. Sergei Gracovs was said to be "extremely intoxicated" during the incident. Gracovs was standing in the middle of Catherine Street in Belgrave on Sunday, May 25 when a police car came across him. As they halted, Gracovs threw his phone at the bonnet of the vehicle before walking off. Officers went after him but he started shouting at police.

A man was three-and-a-half-times the legal limit after he was seen trying to drive through a narrow Leicestershire street. Members of the public had even flagged down a Leicestershire Police car because they were so worried about the way Nicholas Lowe's Audi was being driven. The incident happened on Thursday, May 15 in Birstall's Birch Tree Avenue when a police officer was flagged down by members of the public.

Motorists will be hit by miles of diversions as a section of the main Leicestershire road will be closed. Warnings are now in place for drivers ahead of the closures. Leicestershire County Council has created the diversion to cope with the closure along a small section of Rockingham Road in Market Harborough. The road will be shut to all traffic, leading to travel disruption.

Various roads around Lutterworth are to be shut to traffic for the town's annual Film and Food Festival later this month. Warnings are now being issued to drivers ahead of any disruption caused. The festival takes place on Sunday, June 22, with Leicestershire County Council's highways department warning that parts of Church Street and George Street in the town will be taken over by stalls and street entertainers for the festival.
