Gabby Thomas took to social media Monday to call out a sports bettor whom she said verbally harassed her and followed her around the track at last weekend's Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia. Thomas, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, wrote on X that the bettor shouted personal insults at her and "followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans" at Franklin Field on Sunday.

For the first time, the World's Strongest Man hails from Africa. Rayno Nel, a South African rugby player turned strongman, held on to win Sunday in his World's Strongest Man debut — becoming the first man from outside Europe or Noth America to take the title in the competition's 48-year history. He is also the first rookie to win since 1997. "I'm just over the moon," he told USA TODAY Sports shortly after securing the title at the 2025 competition, held in Sacramento, California.

The Winter Olympics are less than a year away and, for the first time in two decades, snowboarding superstar Shaun White is not training to compete. The retired three-time Olympic gold medalist said he's not going to sugarcoat it: It definitely feels weird. "I’m excited and I'm happy for the next [generation] that’s coming through and what they’re going to do at this next Games," he told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.

Back here to share an update on @FCRecruits. About 2.5 years later, the account has purchased a blue check and is now up to 28k followers. If you interacted with or sent money to @FCRecruits or another entity like it, I'd love to hear about it. My email is [email protected].

Six months after USA TODAY Sports' investigation into D1 Bound Recruiting, a new entity called @FCRecruits has popped up online. There's no contact info on the web site. No public info on who registered the domain. And the group is charging $5k-$8k for "recruiting assistance." https://t.co/e9LCPOpUKg
