A company has received approval to expand its operations in Falls Township. Metals USA has received approval to expand its operations in Falls Township, a move expected to create eight to 10 new jobs. The Falls Township Board of Supervisors granted approval for the project at its meeting last month. The expansion at the company’s 58 Cabot Boulevard East site will include a new 70,000-square-foot building for steel storage and a covered storage area of approximately 31,500 square feet.

A small fire on the roof of an inbound SEPTA Trenton Regional Rail Line train disrupted service at the Levittown Train Station Tuesday morningThe fire was reported at approximately 7:15 a.m. on the roof area of the train. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene. Approximately 100 passengers on board and were safely evacuated, SEPTA spokesperson John Golden said. The passengers were safely transferred to another train and continued their journey to Center City, Golden said.

The Pennsylvania and New Jersey Turnpike Bridge that connects Bristol Township to Burlington County, New Jersey, was closed Monday night due to an ongoing police incident. Both lanes of the busy Turnpike bridge were shut down around 7:40 p.m. and into the night. Sources reported a man on the span. A Turnpike spokesperson called the incident an “emergency situation” and said state police were handling the incident.
