FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — Army officials have confirmed to 25 News that a 1st Cavalry Division soldier has died on Fort Cavazos. Pfc. Keshawn Crumidy, a 25-year-old native of Thomasville, Ga., died March 25 on post, the Army said. "It's hard to process that your child is never coming home, and you're never going to see them again," the soldier's mother, Debra Crumidy, told 25 News. Pfc.

CAMERON, Texas — Law enforcement in Milam County are on increased alert after students reported on three separate occasions that someone tried to abduct them. "The safety of all Milam County children is our priority and this office will increase patrols near schools for the time being,” Sheriff Mike Clore said in a statement to 25 News.

MARLIN, Texas — A Falls County judge has declined an arrest in the Marlin Animal Shelter neglect investigation. Justice of the Peace Kaylah Rosas said the citizen compliant fell short to make an arrest. Documents obtained by 25 News name Marlin's Animal Control officer as Nicole Grams. In January, police found several starving dogs in dirty conditions at the city shelter. Dorene Burlew runs a local animal shelter and has been caring for some of the dogs.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Residents of Creekridge Estates are being asked to evacuate their neighborhood tonight due to danger from a gas leak, the Brazos County Sheriff's Office confirmed to 25 News. A spokesperson for the department said the leak happened in the 5100 block of Schehin Road. People living in homes located on Parker Lane, Creek Lane, Acorn Lane, Schehin Road and Hickory Lane are asked to take only essential items and leave the area.

A spokesperson for III Corps confirmed to 25 News that both are active duty troops serving in the 1st Cavalry Division. Nolanville's police chief tells the pair got into an argument Saturday morning around 8:25 a.m., and the shooting happened off post.
