Sam Alexis won a national title with the Florida Gators at the beginning of the month and is now joining the Indiana Hoosiers. Alexis is the first major inside presence Darian DeVries and the Indiana coaching staff pulled out of the transfer portal. He is a rim protector and has the skill to play on the perimeter. Alexis played his first two seasons at Chattanooga before moving to Florida. As a sophomore for the Mocs, he averaged 10.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

Elon transfer Nick Dorn committed to the Indiana Hoosiers on Thursday night. As a sophomore, he averaged 15.2 points per game for the Phoenix this season. He comes to Bloomington with two years of eligibility remaining. Dorn adds to the perimeter depth for Darian DeVries and Indiana. He joins Tucker DeVries, Lamar Wilkerson, Tayton Conerway, Conor Enright, Jasai Miles, and Jason Drake in that group. Reed Bailey, Sam Alexis, and Trent Sisley can also play outside of the three-point arc.

Drake's three-point percentage will be the first thing that pops off the page for most Indiana fans. He shot 39.6 percent from three-point range this past season and 42 percent while at the junior college level. Throughout his three collegiate seasons, Drake has been selective as a three-point shooter but has made a high rate of low-volume threes. Drake was excellent for Drexel on unguarded, catch-and-shoot threes. He shot about 45 percent from three in those situations.
