A fundraiser has been launched for a six-month-old baby who was diagnosed with leukemia. Ricardo Madigan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia on December 23. Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) is an extremely rare type of cancer, with only 50 people being diagnosed in Ireland every year. The condition affects the lymphocyte white blood cells, and means that you may not have enough healthy cells in your blood. This in turn causes issues with fighting infection, carrying oxygen and bleeding.
