HAZY, HOT, AND HUMIDWe have a Weather Alert Thursday for the hottest weather of the week and of the year (so far). Brace for our first 90s of the summer, especially away from the coast. The local beaches will climb well into the 80s with some 70s far south. It will be bright and blazing. While most of the day looks dry, an isolated storm or two could pop up during the second half of the day. Coverage will be very small. The main concerns are a localized downpour and lightning.

A THURSDAY ALERTExpect steady rain during the morning commute, turning heavier after about 8 AM. Downpours and gusty wind will drive the forecast from midday through the afternoon and evening. PM travel will be slow with low visibility and ponding water. Rainfall totals 1.2-2.5″ will be common, but some eastern MA towns could see 3″ or 4″ between today and tonight. Wind gusts will ramp up as well, peaking in the afternoon and evening.

be May 2025 Nor'easter: Soaking rain and strong wind crush New England Timing is key with this system as all the high-impact aspects occur during the daytime and evening. First will be the rain, which becomes steady, and heavy at times, beginning in the 7-9 am window. This means your morning commute may be a little bit slow, but not be significantly impacted. From this point forward, the rain will not stop until overnight.

Get excited for this early June preview! Would've had a shot at being Boston's first week in the 70s since last September, but coastlines will be cooler on Tue/Wed especially https://t.co/MQ6m916hJa

One of many locations across the region to pick up another ~1.50" of rain from this recent storm! Boston added 1.51", Worcester picked up 1.32", many local 2+" reports as well... This puts most of SNE at or above May averages and it's only the 10th!

@tuckerweather 1.44" 24 hrs total for North Weymouth.. The way the box radar looked overnight.. was sure it would of been 2"+ easily..it helps .. Have a great Sunday Tucker!
