GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University competed in the two-day Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State University on Friday and Saturday. Alona Olshevska and Alexa Keiser highlighted the women's results as both set new school records with their race results. Olshevska won the 400m in 54.00, breaking her school record. Meanwhile, Keiser broke the record in the mile run with a time of 4:45.80, beating the previous mark set last season by just under five seconds.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University track and field teams opened the 2023-24 indoor season with the annual SVSU Holiday Open on Friday, December 1. The meet wrapped up on Saturday, December 2 with the final three events from the men's heptathlon. The Cardinal women completed the meet with one win, six top-five finishes, 12 top-10 performances, and two PRs. The men compiled two wins, 12 top-five, 23 top-10s, and five PRs in the two-day event.

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Track and Field team traveled to Oakland University to compete in the Oakland Last Chance Meet on May 11. Three men and nine women made the trip with their coaching staff. Many Cardinals looked to compete one last time for the season whereas others looked to improve their NCAA Provisional Marks. MEN'S TEAMTyler Burrell competed in section one of the 400m dash clocking a sub-50 time of 49.66 seconds.
