EMPORIA, KAN. – The Saginaw Valley State University track and field representatives at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships had a phenomenal day. The outing was highlighted by senior Cheyenne Nesbitt who made history as she won her fourth-straight National Championship in the Heptathlon with a school record score of 6002. Nesbitt is the first woman in NCAA history, in any division, to win four consecutive heptathlon titles.

EMPORIA, KAN. – Three Saginaw Valley State University outdoor track and field records were broken on day one of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. Cheyenne Nesbitt got the day started by setting records in the 100m hurdles and the high jump portion of the Heptathlon. Her time of 13.09 in the 100 hurdles was enough to win the race, while her high jump height of 1.78m earned her second. She threw the shot put 13.72m to finish first.

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honors on Friday afternoon. Alona Olshevska, Cheyenne Nesbitt, Alexa Keiser, Cassie Campbell, Angelina Delbosque, and Sophia Thelen were the six women's team representatives. Dominic Suliman, Christian Purchase-Ofoeme, and Ryan Brenner were the men's team honorees. Olshevska was named to the All-Region team in the 400m and the 4x100 relay.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH. – Three outdoor records were broken by the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team over the weekend. The Cardinals had members of the men's and women's teams competing in three different meets in two states from Thursday through Saturday. All three records were broken during the Clark Wood Invite hosted by the University of Louisville on Friday and Saturday.

The Saginaw Valley State University track and field team had a busy weekend with three meets in three cities over four days. The first group of Cardinals competed at the Cal State LA Twilight meet held in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday and Thursday evening (April 10-11) before the largest group of participants competed in the three-day meet at Azusa Pacific (AP) for the Bryan Clay Invitational that took place Thursday through Saturday (April 11-13).
