Devers is apparently still frustrated with Boston's front office for moving him from third base to designated hitter this offseason to make room for Alex Bregman. The three-time All-Star has not played the field at all this season, spending all 39 games at DH. Devers has never played first base in the Major Leagues before, so asking him to suddenly learn a new position in the middle of the season would be difficult.

The Boston Red Sox desperately need a first baseman in the wake of Triston Casas' season-ending knee injury, but their superstar doesn't seem open to the role based on his recent comments. Following Thursday's 5-0 win over the Texas Rangers at Fenway Park, Devers told reporters after the game that he isn't willing to play first base for the Red Sox. The star slugger added that the team told him to put his glove away during spring training and he isn't interested in changing positions again.

Ryan Gusto made the Houston Astros' Opening Day roster by the skin of his teeth. After a good spring training, the 26-year-old rookie right-hander earned the final spot in the Astros' bullpen in late March. That seemed like a good way to get him some experience in low-leverage situations and let him build up his confidence at the Major League level. Fast forward a month, and he's suddenly one of Houston's most important pitchers.

April isn't even over yet, but Philadelphia Phillies fans are already hitting the panic button. Philadelphia has lost four in a row and now sits five games behind the Mets in the NL East standings. It was a painful trip to Citi Field for the Phillies, who lost two of the three games by only one run.
