A 3-year-old dog at the SPCA of Southwest Michigan is looking for a forever home. Frankie is smaller dog, and is the perfect companion to snuggle with if you're reading a book, according to SPCA Executive Director Katie Timber. While he's a good boy, Frankie can be a bit shy, but would do well around children, Timber said. "He's fixed, he's vaccinated, he's totally up to date and he is just the sweetest boy," said Timber.

During that time, around 3,000 refugee children were evacuated during Operation Babylift, which was created by then-President Gerald Ford. Now, the museum is marking the anniversary Friday night, with a showing of a new documentary.

Protestors marched around downtown Grand Rapids Thursday to show their support for Patrick Lyoya, after a mistrial was declared in the trial of former police officer Christopher Schurr. Schurr was charged in the death of Lyoya in 2022 following a fight over the officer's stun gun, according to police. Many of the protestors, including Raven Morgan, told News Channel 3 that they believe Schurr should've been convicted.

A criminal defense attorney is reacting after a judge declared a mistrial Thursday morning in the case of Christopher Schurr, a former Grand Rapids Police officer charged in the death of Patrick Lyoya in 2022. Randall Levine, who's a criminal defense attorney not associated with Schurr's case, told News Channel 3 that he's not surprised the trial ended in a mistrial. "I'm sure the defense is disappointed that there is no verdict," Levine said.
