The President-General of Amakohia autonomous community, Ikeduru, in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Goddie Ukwu, has lamented the poor condition of the only government secondary school in the community, appealing to the government for intervention for a face-lift. Ukwu said it was painful that the only public secondary school for the community, Okpuala Community School, was in ruins and negated the intent of mind building.

An Enugu State High Court, on Thursday, ordered that the scheduled election into the national offices of the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, be conducted without any interference. The pan-Igbo socio-cultural group had set January 10, 2025, as the date for a fresh election for all its national positions.
