The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR into the mysterious death of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL) engineer and started a probe into the matter after forming a three-member special team. The deceased engineer Vimal Negi went missing on March 10 and his body was found on March 18 in Bilapsur district, following which his wife lodged a complaint in Shimla alleging that her husband was pressurised for the last six months by HPPCL Director (Electrical) Deshraj.

Referring to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, the PM — in his first address in his home state Gujarat — made it clear that terrorism in India will be dealt with an iron fist. "Those who try to erase the sindoor of women will be wiped out," he said.

The family of Colonel Sofia Qureshi, who led Indian press briefings on ‘Operation Sindoor’, participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in Gujarat’s Vadodara on Monday. Col Qureshi hails from a military background and had joined the Indian Army Corps in 1999. In 2016, she became the first woman officer to lead a multinational military exercise. Her sister and other family members gathered along the streets of Vadodara to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.
