AbstractTrichogerminoma (TG) is a rare adnexal tumor with hair follicle differentiation with less than 50 cases reported in the literature. In 2022, by investigating the genetic profile of 21 cases, our group identified recurrent rearrangements of the GRHL1/2/3 genes in this tumor entity, suggesting such alteration as the main oncogenic driver in TG. Up to now, only one TG case of malignant transformation has been reported.

By providing innate immune modulatory stimuli, the early life immune system can be enhanced to increase resistance to infections. Activation of innate cell surface receptors called pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) by TLR ligands is one promising approach that can help to control infections as described for listeriosis and cryptosporidiosis. In this study, the effect of TLR2/TLR1 and TLR2/TLR6 agonists was compared when injected into neonatal mice.

The use of psilocybin to treat alcohol use disorder is very promising, but the mechanisms of action remain poorly understood. We combined behavioral, pharmacological and gene expression analyses to decipher the mechanisms of action of psilocybin, for the first time injected into the brain. Male Long Evans rats underwent chronic operant ethanol self-administration before testing the effect of intraperitoneal psilocybin or directly within the nucleus accumbens core or the ventral tegmental area.

AbstractAmyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a severe motor neuron disorder. Diagnosis is challenging due to its clinical heterogeneity and the absence of definitive diagnostic tools, leading to delays averaging between 9.1 and 27 months. In vivo corneal confocal microscopy, assessing the sub-basal nerve plexus of the cornea, has been proposed as a potential biomarker for ALS.
