Malappuram (Kerala), May 11 (PTI) The Nipah virus patient in Malappuram remains in a serious condition, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Sunday. The 42-year-old woman from Valanchery is currently receiving treatment in the hospital, she said in a release here. Meanwhile, the test results of 11 more people on the patient's contact list have come back negative, it said. This brings the total number of negative results to 42 thus far.

New Delhi, May 10 (PTI) Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi has given full authority to the Army commanders for counter-action in the kinetic domain to any violation of the understanding reached between the Indian and Pakistani militaries. India and Pakistan announced reaching an understanding on Saturday to stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea, with immediate effect.
