It was nearly five years ago when officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department served a search warrant at Breonna Taylor's home that ended in her tragic death. The shooting sparked protests that gained international attention as the racial justice movement spilled out into the streets of Louisville and across the nation. Many young activists led and participated in marches demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. Imani Smith was one of them.

School board candidates for District 4, which covers most of southwest Louisville, will answer your questions at a candidates forum Wednesday. The forum, held at 6 p.m. at the Southwest Regional Library, 9725 Dixie Highway, is hosted by the Courier Journal in partnership with the Louisville League of Women Voters, the Louisville Urban League and the Louisville Branch NAACP. The District 4 candidates are Trevin Bass and Barbara Lewis.
